The Talented Mr. Palmer Jason Palmer, artist of the “Serenity” comic series covers and some other spectacular sci-fi art, was the first speaker of the morning. He’s a really great guy (we got to chat with him a bit) and an amazing artist. |

Lovely Morena Morena cut her hair! It was quite a shock. She said it was for a movie she’s filming. She looks elegantly reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn. She brought her dog and told some great stories. |

Funny Runs In The Family You know Yan Feldman as Mingo, one of twins Mal and the gang meet in the bar in “Serenity”. His twin brother played Fanti, who Mal says is “the pretty one”! Yan was really funny and surprisingly not British at all. He does a great British (and Irish) accent. He also acknowledged that he’s related to late comedian Marty Feldman (Young Frankenstein). |

Alan “I’m The Funny One” Tudyk And he is! He also had some great stories and was giving away some collector’s cards to the people who were brave enough to ask questions. He started his talk out by apologizing for single-handedly starting the rumor that there was going to be another movie. This was quickly followed by a phone call from Nathan Fillion thanking him for throwing his name into the fire regarding the rumor. Morena and her dog also crashed Alan’s appearance later. Funny, but I couldn’t seem to get a decent photo of Alan. Sorry, kids. |

Nathan Crash #1 Nathan Fillion giving Alan Tudyk what-for for starting the rumor that “Serenity 2″ was in production and then blaming the false rumor on Nathan. He called Alan on the phone and then walked out from behind the curtain! |

Soft-spoken Sean Sean Maher came despite have a crick in his neck! He couldn’t turn his head (I feel your pain Sean) but was a trooper anyway. He’s so cute and soft-spoken. Always smiling and so funny when he does have something to say. He’s admittedly not a big sci-fi fan but I won’t hold it against him. I really like him more after seeing him in person. He’s totally different than Simon. The hallmark of a great actor! |

Everybody Loves Summer It was standing room only when Summer Glau took the stage. Summer is so cute you just want to pick her up and put her in your pocket. She’s so sweet and didn’t mind answering questions about playing Tess on “The 4400″ and her new show “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” where she plays a Terminator! She told the crowd that her fave gift from a fan was a “My Little Pony” that she didn’t have in her collection. |

Nathan Crash #2 Nathan once again stole the show by crashing Summer’s appearance. He started out by pointing that all the other characters on the show were paired up so it was natural that Mal and River might have a go. He actually made Summer blush! |

Finally It’s Nathan’s Turn Once it was time for Nate to make his appearance he and Summer merely changed seats! She stuck around the whole time. Nate was giving away all kinds of great stuff to the people who asked questions such as promo photos from “White Noise 2″, some Halo 3 stuff, and Alliance tender from the show. |

Just Desserts! Eventually Alan Tudyk gets back at his buddy by crashing his appearance, disguised as a fan with a question. Alan also gets quite upset that Nate is giving away Alliance money–he apparently didn’t think to swipe some from the set. He was closely followed by Sean Maher. They all stayed on stage until the end of the convention at 5 p.m. Overall it was really great. I would certainly do it again! |

Help Save The Ariel Ambulance The “Ariel Ambulance Rescue Group” was there with the ambulance from the “Ariel” episode! They’re trying to raise money to refurbish it. Alan Tudyk autographed near the cockpit (you can see in the photo). The guy guarding the ambulance also told us that there’s interest in taking it oversees to a convention in London, England but they can’t get it insured. It’s unusual to insure a prop apparently.
